"Reincarnation. Life is cyclical by nature, but have you already spun the wheel once? Or more? Do you remember, have you forgotten? Would you like to see?"

"It is cyclical by nature, and I've been around the wheel... several times? I don't remember specifics on most of them, but I was a woman who went to the Chicago World's Fair." He nods.

"I've never been. Was it nice?" He inquires wistfully.

"Yeah- you have to remember that electricity was still really new, and they lit the whole thing with electricity. It was truly overwhelming."

"Yes. It is too little to nip."

The puppy also does not appear to care much. It yawns, and flops over.

"Hello again. If you don't mind, I'd like the tarot reading." She has an old, rather beat up metal tin of tea leaves. Bad tin, good tea.

"...and how old are the pups?"

Anpu smiles at Lan, and sets out three decks again -- shapeshifters, dragons, or witches. "They are about two and a half months old. I'm afraid Ammit is really quite a disreputable father."

She points to the dragon deck. "And I'll take a pup. At the moment, I've a yard and could do with some company."

Pleased, Anpu chooses a pup first -- one with especially big ears -- and hands him over.

"I recall that they will take quite well to housetraining, but they will not tolerate a stranger's touch. But then, these have some more friendly blood in them, so I suspect you shall see."

Briskly moving on to shuffle the dragon deck, he then deals out three cards: the three of pentacles, Judgment, and the Queen of Wands.

"Royal colors." Anpu sniffs at them delicately before hoarding them away. "Well, I warn you, I do usually need you here, but we'll give it a try anyway, shall we?"

He has a bit of gold ink on his finger, and he licks at it thoughtfully. "Mm, your present life, that's interesting, fascinating indeed ..." His aspect is rather more canid now, but mysterious personage isn't here anyway. "... I have a taste of the Basque mountains. I couldn't really say what you did there, nor even what gender you were, but I think then you were a man."

Meat. They will eat roadkill, but it may give them worms. They do eat voracious amounts of puppychow.
