Sora bounces into the Nexus, his usual exuberant self. "So it's been a while and I'm actually feeling kind of bored. If anyone needs help I would be all over it." Sora grins from ear to ear. "Otherwise, would anyone like to spar for fun? I'm not really into the whole kill thing ( Read more... )

"Well, might not be th' help yer used ta...but ya inneresed in doin' a grocery run fer me? Need ingredients fer cookin' an' all. I'll pay ya, no prob."

"An' as fer good an' evil, those are sort of rubber words, y'know? You can bend an' stretch 'em. I think iss th' reasons why someone does somethin', not necessarily th' things they do, that'd define 'em as good or evil."

Sora's eyes light up--he is such a sucker for helping. "Sure thing! You have a list? I can do it no problem!" More grinning from the teen.

Head tilting, slightly thoughtful, Sora nods slowly at the kangaroo's sage words. "That makes sense, actually." Sora rubs the back of his head. "Rubber words..." He laughs a little. "Yeah."

Booga hands over a list that he originally made for himself. It says 'Murdoc's Birthday List' at the top, and has Cake Mix, Frosting, Candles, and all the normal birthday goodies, as well as lots of other foods, including meat to cook and the like. He hands over a few hundred dollars as well. "Keep th' change." He's clearly used to dangerous grocery shopping, and thus tips largely.

"Course, some things always got evil reasons behind him. Can't go 'Oop! Sorry! Accident!' when ya commit genocide or somethin'."

Sora looks over the list, amused, and then gets the money. He blinks at Booga. "Uhh..." More blinking. He's not used to dollar bills, coming from a world where munny is the chief currency. "i'll do my best." He smiles, figuring he'll sort it out later, and pockets the money and the list. "Where do you want me to bring all of it?"

Okay, it's awful, but Sora laughs. "That's true. Don't think I have to worry about that though, thankfully."

I practice kendo, but as a form of art, and not for fighting.

As for your question, you should know that "good" and "evil" are human constructs. There is no such thing in the natural world, and our own prejudice is what colours our opinions on such things.

*It wouldn't take a genius to tell that Hojo here is definitely "evil".*

"Kendo?" Sora blinks widely, innocently. "It's good if you don't have to fight. I just like to keep my skills up since I guess I'm going to go back to saving the worlds soon."

Sora arches a brow. "Huh?" Ever the eloquent one. "But..there has to be! Even if it's skewed, right?"

Sadly Sora is pretty trusting and certainly no genius.

Kendo, also known as the "way of the sword", it's a form of sword fighting from the country of my ancestors, emphasizing discipline and balance. *spoken slowly, as if to draw attention to these two points*

'Evil' is no more tangible a thing than 'happiness' or which color is the best of all. There is not a crime, no matter how depraved, that has not been outlawed in some civilization throughout the course of history, and what one person considers evil may be of the highest virtue to another. Ask any two philosophers and you'll get two completely different definitions of what 'good' and 'evil' are.

"Oh. That actually sounds really interesting. Is it..popular where you're from?" He looks nothing but curious.

"I guess it's a confusing topic and everyone has different opinions on it."

The only thing that makes you good or evil is somebody else's opinion.

"What about your own opinion? That's got to count for something too."

My opinion's the only one that matters. I'm saying morals are all just bu--nonsense.

"So what's your opinion then?" Sora looks a little expectant, such a kid.

"Sparring, huh? That might be interesting." The avian, bipedal Pokémon grins, not getting into any sort of "ready" stance. Well, he might accept a little spar, but he's no musclehead ready to fight at the drop of a hat.

"Oh, and good and evil? Some say it's relative, but there's places where it's often determined by some cosmic force. Still, some may say I'm evil, although many say I'm good."

Kuja probably would be "good" in probably all cases. Though sometimes he gets arrogant.

"I thought so too." Sora smiles, nodding slightly. He's certainly making no moves to get ready to fight. he does study the creature slightly though, curious.

"I think it's decided by what you do, I guess." Sora laughs, looking a little embarrassed. "I don't think I could be evil if I tried."

"Yeah. Y'look too nice to be evil. Whether that's good or bad, though, is for you to decide."

Kuja grins and studies Sora in much the same way. Small (relatively), but seems quite atheletic. As compared to the relative tallness, the feathers, the "face mask", and those other features that make a Blaziken unique to the rest of the 300-something Pokémon.

"Y'know... I'd love to spar, but I've got some things to do tonight. Perhaps if you're free sometime during the week?" The yawn he just voices, though, isn't fooling anybody. He's tired.

((So's the mun, which is why sparring's not an option. Sleep I go, though I'll reply tomorrow.))

"I get that a lot." Sora rubs the back of his head. "Too nice for my own good." He chuckles, shrugging his shoulders.

"No problem. I'm around a lot." He gives a thumbs up. "So any time is good for me, mostly. Sometimes I go out to help people or I'm on other worlds, but you know." He smiles and doesn't comment on the yawn.

((:D Good times. Feel free to contact Sora on his journal or reply here or whatever works best for you. Looking forward to it!))

GLOMPNOOGIE! Jack pounces Sora and gives him a drunken jab to the ribs (not hard enough to hurt, of course).

"Zola! Good to see you, lad." Flashing a golden smile (literally), Jack sits up and brushes himself off. Aaaand comes the catch. "Someone's stolen me doubloons, mate. Think you could--?"

The inebrieated pirate makes sword mimes, referring to Sora's more loosey-goosey fighting style.

Sora flails a little at the noogies--seriously, what is it about his head that is so good for noogie-ing? Batting at Jack's hand, Sora gives the pirate a look before laughing.

"Hi, Jack." He returns the man's grin--before laughing again, particularly at Jack's impression. "Did you steal them first?" Sora knows the answer is most likely yes which is why he grins but it's fun to tease.

Feigning insulted, Jack gasps and narrows his dark-rimmed eyes.

"Borrowed, lad. It was BORROWED. Unspoken agreement wherein I return the money at whatever time it pleases me, you know...that old deal." Talking rather quickly, his hopes are invested more in the prospect of confusing Sora than reasoning with him. "Your answer, boy?"

Cocking a brow and widening on eye, he turns his head at an angle to look expectantly, and rather goofily, at Sora.

Sora just laughs at Jack's flimsy attempts at explanation. "Borrowed. Right." But Sora grins, his eyes full of light. Jack may be trying to confuse him but Sora isn't that hard to convince.

"Well, first stop calling me boy and theeen..." Cue the expectant look as Sora rocks on his heels--his grin is decidedly mischievous. "Take me on your boat." :D face. Sora has a weak spot for pirate stuff and this time Donald and Goofy aren't around to curb him from it.

"Deal?"
