Life unfolds

Apr 29, 2011 12:10

I started out this post wanting to do some poetry, but I feel like I'm forcing it. So I deleted everything I wrote, and now I don't know what to call this or even if it's any good. But here it is.

Life opens up itself before my feet.
As I gaze into it's heart, I am caught off guard.

No where within do I see my life or my future.
What lies within though speaks clearly.

I only get a glimpse of the picture.
However little it may seem, it is still a piece of truth.

I see a vast forest, a small abode.
I see me living there,
Calling it a  home.

I look at life for what I wish to see.
However, I know no matter where I wander,
Happiness will not lay ahead.

It must starts somewhere closer,
In the garden of my heart, well watered and fed.
Without this as its origin, it could never come to be.

And as for my actions and future, it does not show.
But there is something I will know.
My motives and reasons can always be pure.

A desire to be happy, to be kind.
To live a small life filled with big impressions.

If this were a prayer it could not end here.
A thank you would be in order
For the wonders life has shared.

nature, happiness, poetry, hope
