So it's one of those do nothing days, but there's a bit of melancholy that accompanies today.
Snow rests on the earth.
The sky stricken with grey.
There's not much to do
On this dreary day.
One can sit
And watch life pass,
But it's a reminder
That nothing here will last.
Am I wasting time
Or enjoying a break?
Whatever the case
I wonder what's at stake.
What will be lost?
What will be gone?
Will my time be short
Or will it be long?
The day's hold mystery,
And I often forget
To enjoy the enigma
Of life's silhouette.
It's easy to rush
And let life slip by
While we hate and hurt
And suffer and cry.
So instead of this
I swear to live anew.
To put on boots, go outside,
And live a life that's true.
