Name of Character: Saetan Daemon SaDiablo

Summary: Saetan is an honorable Prince of the Darkness. Damn him for it.
Dear Prince SaDiablo-
I must say I have always been a devoted fan of yours, sir. You strike me as possessing all of the good qualities that a Warlord Prince must have. You are devout, honorable, noble- you are unafraid to take the scars instead of letting a Queen or witch take them. You give of yourself and expect very little for yourself.
However, sir, you do the same for your sons. You are a man who has have five sons, especially blessed in that area if I must say so. Your relationship with your wife aside, your elder sons reflect the strength and nobility in you that you taught them. It had to have been you who taught them, of course, because Heketah was no help on that matter. Mephis, your eldest, is dutiful and abiding. Peyton and you may have had your differences, but in the end he died defending the descendants of the witch he loved. Your third son died before your hand even touched him. But think of your youngest.
Lucivar and Daemon may have been born outside of marriage or an agreement of acknowledged situation where your parentage should have been required, but I know that never crossed your mind. Daemon and Lucivar were your babies, and you taught them and loved them well. But then your stupid pride lost them both within a day.
I should correct myself. Lucivar was lost not through your own fault, but his mother's. But had you not been broken by your foolishness at Daemon's Birthright, you would have had the fire and drive to find and rescue your younger son.
Your son fought with all his strength to get to you. He could not have done more, but you just left him there. You watched as Dorothea dragged him away. You were complacent as your son was taken into a life of pain, torture, and constant abuse. You could not cast aside your honor long enough to reclaim what was yours! No one would have challenged you! No one could have!
But you let him be taken away. You let him, because Protocol told you to do nothing. Your damned Protocol was more important than your son. Both of your sons, actually.
Perhaps then Dorothea and Heketah wouldn't have become so powerful. Perhaps Jaenelle would never have been born, and yes, you would have missed out on serving your true Queen.
Everything has a price.
Yours,
Lady
