I would have love to see a little more of his sass that he inherited from Donna. I mean, everyone seems to forget that 10.5 is half-Donna Noble.

That's a very good point. Yeah, about the only sass we get from him on that beach is more indignation than anything. "You made me!" Perhaps a bit Donna. But more would've been nice, given him a bit more personality.

With all they had going on in this ep, was there time to really get into his personality? We know he was, what? "born in anger and war" or words to that effect. So he will have to work on overcoming that part of his personality.

Call me an optimist, but my thoughts at the time were that at least *this* Doctor would have the chance to experience something the "original" hasn't - love and the opportunity for a settled life.
