Family Fun
I'm headed home for Christmas and I am bursting with excitement! I really love Christmas, baking, food, trees, lights, family... and not to mention Jimmy Stewart!! (It's a Wonderful Life)
I haven't spent the Holidays with my Family in five years now. Work has never allowed us to take any days off, it being our busiest time of year and all.
I made an unscheduled trip home for Thanksgiving as my Dad was in the hospital due to a broken hip. He was a trooper and made it through with minimal complaints as well as keeping his wit.
The Nurse that was checking Dad into surgery asked him if he had any allergies. His response was "Tile" (sidenote: He slipped on water spilled from the dog's bowl on the tile floor) The entire emergency room was in hysterics. Sometimes I forget how witty he is, because he is Dad, and we all know how Dad humor tends to get.
But we made the best of it. Below is my Brother and his Wife, as well as a photograph of our Thanksgiving Dinner ala Whole Foods! There wasn't much time for anything due to the long hours spent at the Hospital.
