basketball season. the smell of rubber balls, the feeling of sweat running down your cheeks..the squeak of tennis shoes, the strawberries on your knees, back, and hips..the loss of breath after running 5 laps, the realisation that you're horribly out of shape..the free passes to the gym, the new uniforms..getting socks and shoelaces to match, playing your hardest and having fun.
ahh yes, it's that time again. the taste of basketball is back in our mouths. this year is my last year playing. but i'll be coaching. oh yes, i will be coaching. next year..when i'm 18..i can be an official coach.
my team shall be lime green..i dunno what color the little girls will be. oh, the world is such a wonderful place.

i'm growing up and i love it. maturity is my friend. however, i'm far from mature, i do say. i have a ways to go..but hot damn, i'm on my way. i know what i want to do with my life. i've got people i can depend on. things are falling into place. i'm realising things i don't want to know, but..in the long run, it's inevitable. people just aren't who you think they are, and that's cool. not everyone can live up to such high expectations. i'm ready for college, i think. i really am.
