Not Much Going On These Days

I haven't posted in forever, and I am SO SORRY that I have not been keeping up with everyone's day-to-day lives on here, but it's one of those things that it would take me hours to catch up on everything I've missed over the last few months, so i am just going to start here from scratch.

It was great to see everyone last weekend at Cristi and John's wedding party. The food was really good. Everyone looked so nice too!

Everyone got to meet my husband for the first time, and I hoped everyone liked him. He's very quiet until he gets to know people, so please do not be offended that he's not a talker. Once he gets used to people, he's hard to shut up! He remembers no names (he's not good with names anyway) but he will obviously become part of the group as he hangs out more.

I'm staying with Diego in Jersey City for like ever and I hate it with a passion. It really sucks balls and I do not like being separated from my husband, but I committed to it and shall follow through. But I will continue to be bitter. The central air is nice, I have to say, tho. I guess every cloud has a silver lining.

Things are crazy at work. We were 'acquired' by a large accounting firm and while we were told nothing would change, everything is changing, and people are quitting left and right because rumor has it we're all getting the boot or getting 'transitioned' or something at the end of the year. So lord only knows what's going on. All I know is that I do not want to have to look for a new job because I like mine. I like my boss and my department and my job itself. But maybe it's time to get my resume in order, start looking, etc.

Our wedding party is going to be at my mom's in September. September 6th, actually. I originally wanted it at the Newark museum and I had the whole thing planned and budgeted out, but then my mom asked if she could have the party at her house. And since I am now the favorite child, I could not deny the woman. The invitations will be mailed in a couple of weeks and I made them myself with the help of some inspiration from Michael's. I had never set foot in that store up until last week and now I am wondering how to kick off my scrapbooking career!
