Brad and I went last night... the show was amazing and it was the first time I had seen him live... Brad and I ended up backstage hanging out and drinking for free until 2am which was a stack of fun. Pete Yorn is a nice guy, very chilled out and friendly... I got chatting to him about his Australian tour and he started on how much he loved Melbourne - that made me smile. I also got chatting to Jeremy Lister a bit - now he is a really nice guy and I am really keen to see more of his stuff around town...
I always find it funny when I talk to "mid level role" label people... there is this general air about them like they are the best thing on the planet... but after a while they chill out, particularly when they realize that you are not an aspiring musician and you actually get more of a human element out of them.
Today I go to get a real bed... and needless to say, I am excited. My futon couch is seriously like sleeping on top of a dog house (snoopy style) with a big death bar digging into your back... and every time I go to get out of bed, it tips like a seesaw and I end up on the ground... so I say to you futon bed/couch thing - "So long sucka! You can now be what God intended you to be, a freaking couch in our living room!"
Off to start my day!
