Well, crap.
I knew I wouldn't like it, but man, I never thought it would piss me off!
so, the show itself, not my cup of tea; the plot just does not appeal to me, I'm not into this type of drama, so I'm not really mad at that. I knew I wouldn't like it, so it was just as boring as I thought it would be. Fine.
BUT...
I won't even try to understand why they thought it could work, as a SPN spin-off, as it turned the SPN universe and its rules completely upside down!
Maybe I shouldn't even be surprised about this, seeing the canon problems we've been having lately... but still... WHY, WHY would you pretend to write a SPN ep, which should lead to a spin-off and then change all the rules that have been applied in the last 9 years???
5 monter families in Chicago and NO hunter has ever heard of them? Not John, not Bobby, not the two idiot hunters that chased down Sam&Dean and killed them in DSOFM?? (still waiting to Dean to meet them again and keep his promise, BTW...).
Not to menton the fact that these families have never heard of the Winchesters.... Hello, apocalypse, Death-in-Chicago with the storm of the century, alpha vamp calling everybody to arms, just to mention a few episodes that MIGHT have given the chance to these families to hear about Sam and Dean...
They should have just written a new monster show, with its own rules and universe., cause this, this is an EPIC FAIL.
I really hope they are not counting on many SPN fans to follow the show, IF they get picked up... -_-
SPN is not about love stories and that type of drama, it has never been. The one time they tried it, it was another fail. *cough*Amelia*cough*.
Her story could have been great, if only they chose not to make it a "normal" love story for Sam. There were so many theories floating around at the time.
My personal fave was Amelia being just a figment of Sam's imagination, the only way he could cope with Dean's disappearance and possible death. Him losing touch with reality and hiding in this fantasy would have also explained WHY THE HELL HE DID NOT LOOK FOR DEAN IN THE FIRST PLACE. It was all there, a perfect SUPERNATURAL explanation for Sam and Amelia, but no, of course they had to make her an annoying, perfectly normal person,(with a drinking problem, just to link her to Dean..*snort*...).
And now we have only 3 eps left (another growl of frustration, WHY waste an ep so far in the season? at least, they had the decency to write "Bitten" as ep 4 in season 8), and the IMPORTANT storyline, the one of Sam and Dean will be all crammed up .... *shakes fist*
Cause of course, it won't be just them, as we also have to endure the boring-angel-storyline-nobody-cares-about...
Actually, I'm almost hoping Sam and Dean "fight" won't be resolved in the finale cause after all we suffered through this season SamandDean (and we ) deserve more.
They damaged the brothers bond in ways I can't even, and now I expect them to FIX IT as it deserves. It can't just be a "I'm sorry, let's hug" not after everything they made SamandDean tell each other.
I still want a hug (of course), but I want more. I want the scene we had in "Sacrifice" only 10 times stronger/huggier/snottier. :) I want Sam to talk Dean out of his likely death this time. I want them to realize how lost they both are when they're NOT brothers. I want them to see that. Cause we as fans deserve that, and Sam and Dean, do too.
Well, I know, basically, what we need is a miracle, considering how things are at the moment...
Do you believe in miracles? 9X23. (I can't help being a lost-cause-optimist...;))
amelia,

samanddean is one word,
