My tenth birthday was definitely something to remember, no matter how much I want to forget it. It’s not everyday that your boss gives you a huge ass birthday cake. I’d been working for him nearly four years at that stage and been a good boy - or so he told me almost daily - and this was my special treat. I’d been looking forward to it for days, ever since I’d overheard the cook talking about it. How was I to know that such a momentous occasion was about to be overshadowed by me sprouting fur and trying to bite through the leg of the bouncer? He didn’t hold a grudge though, he’d apparently done the same on his first change - well not a bouncer but you get the picture. It was supposed to be a big day, I just had no idea how big.
