United vs Blackburn
Well, that was completely satisfying! It's so good to see them back on form, dominating games and winning things comfortably again. I loved today's game, we played really well. Very well done to everyone. And that too in such horrible weather! The pitch was resembling a swimming pool at the end! And I don't think it stopped raining for a minute. But despite that we still managed to pass the ball very nicely and sharply!
First half was a bit of a slow start, maybe because of the weather. But we caught on quickly. The goal was a bit lucky, because the ref could have blown for a foul. I don't think it was, but then, you never know. I'm so delighted for Wes. No one deserves a goal more. He's really had a tough time lately, and it's great to see him happy again. The boys were so happy for him too, I thought Rio and Vida were going to crush him!
After that, we dominated completely. They had a few chances but Rio and Vida were as unmovable as ever. Second goal was truly classy. Lovely work by Cris, and great finish by Wazza. Aww, it was so good to see them celebrate together as well! That peck on the neck, so cute!!
I thought Dimi was pretty great today as well. I was hugely impressed by his workrate. Who on earth would dare call him lazy? He really tracked back a lot, and worked his socks off. Well done, Mitko, keep up the good work!
Cristiano's crossing is way off the mark still. And he had a horrid time today, they kept fouling him. But credit to him that he persevered and got the assist and nearly got another one for that Tevez effort. Also, I loved seeing him point to the champions badge on his sleeve after the Rovers fans threw the ball at him! I know it doesn't mean anything, but still.
Our away support was fantastic! I could hear them loud and clear over the TV. They went through all the songs, from Viva Ronaldo/Viva John Terry to the Anderson one, the Park one, Rooney's, and even the oldies like You are my Solskjaer and There's only One Keano!! Plus my favorite, the 'We'll Never Die" towards the end. Also, they knew exactly when to sing which song. Poor Cris was having a torrid time, and getting really frustrated, so he would have perked up on hearing Viva Ronaldo and He plays on the Left. I think that is what inspired him to get that assist! I don't think Blackburn fans managed even one song! It was so good to hear! A huge round of applause to them.
All in all, a terrific game!
Oh, I meant to add that I'm so hugely disappointed for Sunderland and Keano. This was the first time I've watched them play this season, and they were really great. They completed cut out Arsenal, hurried and hassled them, and really deserved to win. The guy who scored, Leadbitter, he looks like such a humble person. He was in tears, it meant so much to him! Poor baby, it should have been the winner. Just unfortunate that Arsenal equalised. But Roy must be incredibly proud of them, they gave their everything today. Very very well done to them.
Also, not impressed at all by Arsenal. There is only so many times you can watch them pass the ball without getting bored. For god's sake, do something with it too! But I hope they never change, this is way too much fun.
I know this is off topic, but what on earth has Cesc Fabregas done to his hair? It looks awful! Urgh, that's why I hate hair bands.
