ITS BACK!!!
Yes!!! After days and days of boredom, the wait is finally over and the EPL is back!!
And after seeing yesterdays games, I wonder how we survived the summer! It feels so great to watch live football again.
And what an opening day it was! From Michael Chopra's last minute strike for Sunderland against the Spurs, to Obafemi Martins overhead kick for Newcastle vs Bolton, to Stevie G's marvelllous freekick against Villa,it was absolutely breathtaking!
I'm so happy for Keano and the Sunderland boys, they deserved to win! Welcome to the premiership!
And Newcastle were fabulous in the first half against Bolton-I was delighted to see Smudge doing so well, in spite of playing in central midfield, which he doesn't like quite as much. But he was as strong and passionate as ever, and did some great defending too. And took of his shirt-for that alone it was worth watching the game!!
I was also glad to see Liverpool win (sorry for being disloyal, but I do like them!), and Torres had a good game(and he looked so hot!!). Stevie and Xabi were back together in midfield(it was so good to see them!!) and they controlled the game pretty well, at least in the first half. But the best part was Stevie's amazing freekick to win the game. And the Stevie/Xabi hug at the end-that was absolutely adorable.
Wow, I actually managed to watch like three matches back to back-it must be some kind of record. But I was so glad to see some kind of football-friendlies aren't quite as interesting. However tonight's the big one-I'll get to see my lovely United boys play! I can't wait! Keeping my fingers crossed for a nice victory!!
