MUTV!!
I just love, love Ten Sports! It is a sports channel that is shown mostly in UAE and the Indian Subcontinent. And Guess What? They have got the rights to show some of the coverage from MUTV!!!!
This is so amazing!!! Today, I had a great time, watching the highlights of Man Utd vs Shenzen FC (the 6-0 drubbing) from their Asia tour. Even though it wasn't a live game or anything, it was still fun to watch, especially Nani's goal and his crazy backflip(which we are unlikely to see again-Fergie has told him not to do it!!), and Cristiano' s goal for which Wazza provided the assist. There was a lovely Cris/Wayne moment at the end of that!
They also showed a classic Champions League match, Man Utd vs Juventus from Feb 2003. It was the game right after the whole Beckham-SAF-shoes incident, and it was a pretty interesting match. Utd won 2-1, but I was more interested in seeing some of the players. Becks, Roy Keane, Nicky Butt, Ruud - I'd heard so much about them, but never really watched them play, at least not for United, so I was quite excited! Its quite amazing how similar that team was to today's team, I could see parallels everywhere. Becks had a brilliant game, providing the assist for both the goals. He was amazing with free-kicks and corners, wasn't he? But I though RVN was rather poor. He seemed rather slow, and kept losing possession. Maybe he just had an off-day or something, but give me Wazza any day!
I'm really pathetic, being so enthusiastic about watching a game which occurred 4 yrs ago! But really, I just can't get enough of the boys! And the best part was seeing the post-match interviews! They had a nice one with John O'Shea after the Shenzen game, and with RVN and Sir Alex after the Juve game.
I hope they will be showing many more interesting shows! I can't wait for Sunday!!!
