Congratulations to Ricardo Kaka and Caroline on the birth of their son Luca. He's so adorable, just like the other baby Luka that I know! And Caroline, wow! I'm totally in awe of her, how can she look so flawlessly perfect just after giving birth? Amazing! I don't even like Kaka that much, but because of the baby I've forgotten all of that! Also, Congratulations to Wayne and Col, apparently they got married yesterday. They actually managed to keep it quiet, so good for them. I admire Coleen tremendously, she even refused to sign a pre-nup agreement. She's a very down-to-earth, and seems to love him a lot. I hope they have a very happy life.
Poor girl, it just had to rain, didn't it? But I think rain is supposed to be lucky on your wedding!

In other news, Cristiano seems to be giving a huge hint to the United board(as well as looking delicious in the process)
Although I don't approve of how he's going about it, I think they should just give him the new contract. Maybe it will finally end all this rubbish. I can't believe the ends to which Marca will go to get some kind of soundbyte from him. Like after the Czech game, this was the headline in all the newspapers :
" Ronaldo : I prefer the White Jersey"
And this is what actually happened:
Marca: "Cristiano, well done on your victory. The white shirt bought you luck. Do you like playing in the white shirt?"
Ronaldo: "Yes I do, for Portugal that is. For Manchester, I prefer red"
Sky Sports also made out that he was joking about it, as if our feelings meant nothing to him. They are really enjoying this, aren't they? Seeing us in so much of a bother, when we should actually be boasting about our triumph. The headline should have been "Ronaldo : I prefer the red jersey for Manchester" but no, no way would that sell the newspapers. I'm seriously bugged of it all, just end it please.
At least he didn't let it affect his football. Portugal are through to the quarter-finals, yay!!! It was a very interesting game against the Czechs. Portugal were a bit flat in the first half, but they made up for it in the second. Cris had a good game, I suppose if you score one goal and make two assists, it has to be a good game! But I don't think he's really at his best yet, maybe it's just the fatigue. However, the team showed that they have other stars too. Deco had another marvellous game, I'm hugely impressed by him. I think the fact that he didn't play much for Barca due to injury has helped him stay fresh.
Poor Nuno, I thought he was pretty ineffective. Almeida wasn't much better, so I guess Portugal don't really have anyone else. At least Nuno is cute! Also, does anyone else find it sexy the way Nuno oh-so-lovingly puts the armband on Cristiano? Sorry, I had to mention that!
I don't like Simao, that was the second time he pulled rank over Cristiano in taking the free-kick. And blasted it straight into the wall for the second time. I'm not saying that Cris would have definitely scored from it, but I think he's definitely got more of a chance. Quaresma is a really flashy player, I think Scolari was yelling at him for that. It was really unselfish of Cristiano to pass it to him for the third goal.
All in all, they are looking rather good and I think they definitely have a great chance.
I'm so delighted for Niko Kranjcar and Croatia!! It was a wonderful result against the Germans. They played really well, and Germany could not cope with them. I think Germany came out with a bit of a swagger thinking that it was going to be an easy game, so they deserve it in a way. Luka Modric seems a very busy kind of player. He'll do well for Tottenham, I think. The rest of their squad is pretty decent too.
Only slight problem, Portugal may end up facing Germany in the quarter-final instead of the semi's. I guesss it doesn't matter really, they have to beat them sometime.
France-Holland tonight! Should be a good game, hopefully the Netherlands will continue their awesome form from last week!
