I know, but it was never this horrible before! I don't know how I'm going to survive till August!

Nah, I don't think it's tapping up. After all Liverpool have already made a bid for Barry, and Villa seem to be willing to negotiate. But it's not right either, Stevie should have said whatever he wanted to say in private, not to the press.

I know, but these days you rarely get any player who'd turn down better wages or higher league football because they love their club too much. It's all become commercial, and I don't think these guys are even fans of their club, it's sort of like a business. You go where you will earn more. That's why I love Ryan Giggs so much, in a recent documentary Sir Alex mentioned how all the agents from all over the world would call him to make him irresistable offers, and all he would say is 'I don't want to go anywhere' Same is the case with a few other intensely loyal players, but they are seriously diminishing in number.

Thank you, I'll definitely need it! As you can see, I really find it difficult to concentrate on the studies at the moment. Yeah, they'll finish by 17th so I won't miss the whole of the Euro's. Thank god for small favours! *hugs back*

I seriously take a step back with my club, 'cos watching players you love leaving...it does your nut in, aye :(

Ah, I dunno, that's being debated a lot on various messageboards lately. Mind you, who needs agents, managers and players playing chinese whispers when you've got the great foghorn gob of the press! I swear, they do more harm than good to football...

It's a shame, it really is. And it riles the fans, because they can't just up sticks and go support someone more successful, which is essentially what players are doing. I dunno, some players say that the nature of the job means they only earn a lot until they're in their mid-30s, so they've gotta get as much money as they can. I say: get a real job afterwards, then, you lazy fookers! :D :D

Ah Giggsy, though, legend. Welsh legend, no less :)

Lol, everything seems really interesting when you've gotta revise, no? Even cleaning! -headdesks- Glad you won't miss all of the competition though, aye, small mercies better than none!

Oh totally agree about the press! I think I should stop reading newspapers because they run such wildly exaggeraterd stories. Everything is 10 times more murkier the way they present it. I've very quickly learnt not to believe everything that is printed there. Anything will do for a story, as far as they are concerned.

Hmm, yeah, I guess football is a short career, so they have to milk it for all it is worth. *laughs* you're right, they should get some other job later! Which is why I think that they should complete their education too, so that they have other options.

He's brilliant! And one of a kind, there never will be anyone quite like him. *sighs* I'm already dreading the day when he retires.

Yup, and the internet is probably the biggest distraction there is! Especially with all these conflicting stories running around. I feel like I absolutely have to hear the latest news as soon as it is announced. But I need to be getting back to the books, good night.

Seriously, they come out with so much crap it's unreal. They make trouble deliberately, I swear it. And it's so easy to wind 'em up - we managed to get a rumour on Sky Sports News last summer, ffs, with something that was started deliberately on one of our messageboards. Like Walcott would ever come to Coventry on loan, hello?! Eejits, they really are. Better to ignore 'em...and everything that comes out of players' and managers' mouths this time of year too, cos they're buggers for the old 'oh, I love this club and I'm not going anywhere', only to fook off somewhere else a day later. Grrrr!

-nods- exactly, exactly. There's too much of a rush to stardom in football, especially in England. A decent education and feet on the ground would help, especially given the daft wages some of them earn!

He'll stay at Man Utd, though, surely? In some kind of coaching capacity? That's one wonderful thing about your club, at least they do have players that've pretty much pledged their life to the club.

Argh! Well, hope the studying goes well. Take care!

You know, I kind of think that this latest rumour about Cristiano where he's allegedly said that he wants to go to Real if they pay him what they've promised, probably came off a messageboard too. The press are exactly like that, one newspaper gets hold of some story, and they jump onto it and before you know it everyone has printed the same thing, without even bothering to verify it.

I hope Giggsy stays on to coach. I think he's already planning to get his coaching badges done, and I think he'd make a marvellous coach because everyone would respect him so much. Plus, he's a model professional and he can teach the young kids on how a person should behave with dignity. But it's not the same as having him on the field. Like with Ole, he's there in training and stuff, but I miss seeing his enthusiasm and cheery disposition on the field. Yup, that's what I love about United, the fact that so many of the legends are on hand to support and advise the youngsters. Wish Cris could learn something from them.

Thanks!

It's like the stock market - all gossip and no trousers, I swear it ;)

-nods- indeed he is, not enough guys like him in football nowadays, dear god my team could do with a kick up the arse from someone with their head screwed on like he has. Ah, Ole -loves- :) 'tis a bit of an English institution, in Man Utd!

"Wish Cris could learn something from them."

Lol, I dunno, not his style? :)
