Celtic v Barcelona
Lyon v Manchester United
Schalke v Porto
Liverpool v Inter Milan
Roma v Real Madrid
Arsenal v AC Milan
Olympiakos v Chelsea
Fenerbahce v Sevilla
Hmmm, Lyon? Probably the worst team we could have drawn. But it's not too bad, I think if it were someone like Olympiakos or Fenerbahce, we would have become complacent and sent out a weaker team. This way at least we can be sure that the players will give them the respect that is due and be more careful. Plus the game will be a lot more interesting. We also have the advantage of playing at home in the second leg, so I reckon we should be all right. Just have to keep an eye on Juninho's free kicks. So no bad tackles in dangerous positions, yes I'm talking to you Scholesy! And their young striker Benzema, he's been setting the world on fire. Will be good to get a look at him. I've heard that we might be interested in him.
Ooh, Liverpool get Inter! Now that will be really interesting. But then they were bound to get a tough team. Inter were very good when we had that friendly at OT, but they don't seem to have looked unbeatable in the CL. Didn't they lose to Fenerbahce? I think Liverpool should do well, after all they did it against Barcelona last time around, that was probably tougher. Wouldn't it be cool if we met Liverpool in the semis or the final? Well it would a nightmare for the police, I reckon!
I am delighted Arsenal got Milan. Ha, how I hope Milan do to them what they did to us at the San Siro. And I hope we meet them in the quarters and throw them out! Revenge will be so sweet...Or alternatively I hope Arsenal throw them out and we throw Arsenal out. That will be just as satisfying. Anyways it will be a cracker of a gamel. Kaka vs Cesc, that's just mouthwatering!
But both Arsenal and Liverpool play their home leg first, so that could be a bit of a problem. Chelsea are really Jammy Bastards. I can't believe how easy a draw they got. I hope they get complacent and do something silly.
All in all, it will be very interesting.
On a totally unrelated note, I watched a Real Madrid game for the first time today. And I wasn't too impressed. It was against Osasuna, and they were completely on the backfoot until Ruud got a free header to score. Then Real picked up a bit, but nothing too great. Sergio is awfully cute though. And Gabriel Heinze came on for the last 15 min, and I got a pang in my chest when I saw him. No matter what happened, he was one of ours. Seeing him play reminded me of the celebrations in the dressing room after the last game last season. The way he and Cris had jumped around and laughed and sang...Damn it Gaby, don't you know how much you hurt us?
