We're doing all right with the youngsters...

I'm so delighted for the young boys. They really did Manchester United proud on Wednesday. Getting a draw against Roma, who are 2nd in the Serie A, in Rome is amazingly creditable. Especially when you consider that we had completely new players across the back four(except for John O'Shea, but even he isn't a regular). I think Fergie must have told them before the game that they must prove that they are worthy of being Man Utd players, and they did just that. Now maybe they can put that loss to Coventry behind them.

John O'Shea was tremendous at left back. Honestly, most teams would kill to have such a versatile player in their ranks. And I'm so glad that he's staying with us, unlike a certain someone-who-shall-remain-nameless who still can't make up his mind as to whether he wants to be an integral part of the best team in the world, or go to some other team that will most probably be relegated. Huh, it will be his loss anyway.

How cute is Johnny Evans? So amazingly sweet...honestly our young'uns aren't too bad looking, are they? This was the first time I've watched him play, and I thought he was quite good. A bit of inexperience, but he'll learn. That tackle on him was horrible though, I'm glad he didn't get seriously hurt. And Gerard! Looked good too, tends to lose concentration at times though, like when he allowed the ball to run through and Totti put in the back of the net...Thank God he was offside! Nice to see him get a goal, a bit exaggerated with the badge kissing, but I guess he appreciates playing in the team. Danny was great too at right back.

Noone was really spectacular or anything but it was a great team effort. It was good to see them scrap and fight against an almost full strength Roma side. It's too bad we couldn't get the 100% win record, but it doesn't really matter. And how sad is it that the press aren't even acknowledging it? If it were Arsenals youngsters who had got a similar result, they'd be praised to the skies! Oh well, never mind.

Now on to Anfield, and make us proud again boys!
