~Jensen’s Home~
Jensen was zoned out and the TV was blaring when the doorbell rang. Letting out a painful sigh, he rolled himself off the couch and answered the door to find a delivery man with a dozen roses handing them to him. He took one quick smell of them before he pulled the card to see they were for him and from the boy across the street.
“Jensen,
I’m sorry for the other night. I miss you, and I would love to take you out tonight for a movie and dinner. After that is all up to you. If you’d like to join me, please be outside your house at seven this evening.
Love,
Jared
That brought a smile to his face. He headed into the kitchen and put the flowers into some water before he headed up to take his shower and get ready for their date.
~Date Night~
Jared held tightly on the door knob of his front door, hoping when he opened the door he would see Jensen standing across the street, waiting for him. With one deep breath, he turned the knob and slowly pulled the door back and saw no Jensen standing across the street. He let out a heavy sigh and took a step, wishing maybe he was a little early. He closed the door behind him and walked down the walkway.
“I hear that there’s a very sexy guy who lives here and wants to take me out on a date.”
Jared smiled when he heard that voice and turned to the side to see Jensen leaning up against his car door, waiting for him. He ran over to him and grabbed him by the waist and pulled him in to him and kissed him hard. “I thought you didn’t want to.”
“Jay, I’ve loved you since you were a freshman. You will have to do a lot more to ever get me to stop loving you. I really enjoyed that time in the bed, but I like to go out from time to time.”
“Jensen, I am really sorry. Would you like to join me for dinner?”
“I’ve been pretty hungry these days.” He took Jared’s hand as he led him around to the passenger side of the car.
“Like you could out eat me,” Jared joked as he opened the door for him.
Jensen got in the car and waited for Jared to take them to the restaurant. He couldn’t help but smile when he saw them pull up in front of the only spot for fine dining. Jared escorted him into the restaurant where they were seated at a candle-lit table. “Jared, this is wonderful.”
Jared smiled as he took a seat across from him. “I wanted to make it up to you. I am really grateful. You came home to help me get ready to move to college; But there is something I wanted to ask you.”
“It better not be marriage.”
“No, but I know we ended our secret relationship when you graduated, but I want my boyfriend back.”
Jensen took a sip of his water. “I wanted to wait, but I think this is a good time. I had a gift I wanted to give you when I left, but I think now is a good time.” He pulled a small box out from his jacket pocket and slid it over towards Jared.
He picked up the box and tried to figure out what could possibly be in it. He pulled the little red bow’s string, untying it. He lifted the lid off to find a key. “What?”
“I wanted to ask you to move in with me when school starts.”
“Jensen, are you sure about this?”
He reached for Jared’s hand and held it in his own. “More than anything, Jared, I want to be your boyfriend, too.”
Jared got up and walked around the table, kissing him. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.” The rest of the night went on without a hitch.
~First Day of College~
Jared stepped out of his steamy shower and headed into the bedroom to find his boyfriend fighting with his jeans. “Told you to lay off the food; But I’m cool if you gain the freshman fifteen for me,” he joked.
“They fit last week.” Sucking in his stomach and getting them to button, he slowly released the air.
“Are you going to walk me to my class?”
“Sure. It’s just two buildings away from my class.” He pulled on his shirt.
They walked through the campus that was lined with trees that were starting to change colors. Jared couldn’t help noticing that Jensen kept rubbing his stomach as they walked. “Are you okay?”
“It’s just my jeans.” That was when his stomach growled.
“I thought you ate before we left?”
“I did.”
Jared laughed as they stopped outside his classroom door. “You keep this up, who knows what you’ll look like come Thanksgiving.”
“Ha ha.” Jared kissed him, and that was when Jensen pulled away from him. “Oh, god.”
“What?”
“I think I’m going to be sick.” Then he rushed down the hallway to the nearest bathroom, and Jared wanted to give chase, but that was when his class started. Once class was over; He headed over to Jensen’s class to see how he was and waited for it to release and found no Jensen there. That was when he pulled out his phone and dialed Jensen’s number. “Jensen, where are you? Are you at home?”
