3 movies in 3 days!
cousin barb and i bought 2 movies on Sunday and watched:
Wrist Cutter's, A Love Story on Sunday. a pretty good dark comedy. i've wanted to see this movie for well over a year and really liked it.
Smart People on Monday. good very dark comedy. this one is a bit dark boarding on not funny, still a funny "study" of "smart people".
Then tonight, her last night in town, we went to the Flat Iron Crossing mall, ate pizza at the food court, then went to see Momma Mia! and we had a blast - laughing our asses off the whole time. I would so love to see this movie as a sing-a-long, Alamo Drafthouse-style. what made it even more hilarious (to us) is we pretended that Donna (Meryl Streep) was cousin barb's mom; that Tanya (Christine Baranski) was my mom; that Rosie (Julie Walters) was their sister, our Aunt Bern - and it mostly worked (dialogue, etc.)! hilarious!
When we got home, we chugged (very bad) single serving champagne - just for the "fun" of it and tried to take self portraits ... that didn't work out so well.
