Just finished reading "To Kill a Mockingbird." I hadn't read it since high school and only had vague memories of it. But I loved and adored it. So much. Jem and Scout and Atticus. They're all such great, amazing characters. Guh ( Read more... )

To Kill a Mockingbird may be my all-time favorite book. At least, non-genre.

I'm overdue for my end of October book report - the book I would recommend in it is The Good Thief by Hannah Tinti, recently out in paperback.

For my own holiday reading, I just picked up The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski, but I don't know yet what I'll think of it.

Next on my list to read is Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay.

And I recently read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows, which was a light read but quite enjoyable.

Also just re-read Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, because I originally read it pre-Supernatural and I have a new perspective on it now.

What are you in the mood for? Anything in particular?

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on whatever you end up reading!

Thanks for the list! That should give me something to look for when I'm wandering the bookstore, at the very least!
As for what I'm in the mood for ... Um. To Kill a Mockingbird. That's my problem. I read a good book, and it leaves me wanting more of *that*. I can't think past it. That's why it took me so long to ween myself off of silly series books like Sweet Valley Twins when I was younger. I always count on *more* of those.
