Dean was pretty intent on keeping things low-key after his first week of class.
World History on Monday had been fun even if he wasn't a master notetaker, plus he shared the class with
Sam, Lyra, and Evie, which was an added bonus. Tuesday was
Literature in Action, and though there wasn't much action yet, Dean was definitely looking forward to it. Rory, Alec, Layla, and Dawn were all in that one, too, so Dean had lots of study and note resources. Nice. Speaking of which, he apparently had a vast network of people who could help him with
Hunting 101. Definitely a good thing, considering he signed up thinking it would be game hunting and not ghost hunting. He talked with
Alec and
Sam during class, which was good, because otherwise he may have panicked. There were actually going to be hunting practicals? Ouch.
Wednesday night in the second floor common room, Dean'd managed to be pretty social, which was good. He'd met
Vladdie and talked to Rory,
Dawn had offered to lend him some books to help him catch up in Hunting, he'd highly confused
Billy about the double thing, and probably
Luke, too, though Alec was there to help sort it out. He also met
Bridge, who had apparently never heard The Lumberjack Song, and caught up with
Alanna, who hopefully wouldn't die in December.
The Other Dean offered him help in Hunting, too, and could also apparently read him weirdly well because of the whole looks-like-Sam thing, which luckily wasn't really a problem.
Thursday was a much-needed day of rest, and then earlier today Dean had
Energy and Fitness, which looked like it was going to be a little less like Gym than he originally thought. But that was pretty much par for the course these days.
So now he was leaning back in his desk chair, feet propped up on his desk, writing a letter home while he listened to Nick Drake, the door propped open invitingly.
