I'm so glad you liked it! I hope it was just the right amount of hurt/comfort and schmoop for you. I love happy endings too, so I was super stoked with all your likes. I'm just glad I could deliver :D

This was amazing, I loved how they helped each other and the fact that Dean's need to help other's ultimately helped himself.

Thanks. Dean's need to help others is really a lynchpin of the show, and I wanted that to come across here but in a perhaps more positive way. By helping Cas, he's helping himself too and finding happiness into the bargain, which is a good thing.

Castiel was right: Dean was so brave, but not for confronting Alistair. I loved the way Dean and Cas found each other, and helped each other become stronger.

I'm really pleased you liked that aspect of the story. I was a bit concerned that it was all a bit easy for Dean and a bit trite, so the fact that you liked how strong they both become really makes me happy!

Alistair is such a scary creep! You did a really good job creating the atmosphere of fear and anxiety. So glad Dean and Cas were able to come together and get stronger and healthier.

Thanks! I've had anxiety myself and I really wanted to do those things justice , so I'm glad it came across as realistic. Alistair is one scary mofo, but then he made Dean realise that he can confront his fears and be a stronger person because of that, so I guess he has his uses. At least Dean's moved on to better things now.
