I love the fact that it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. It's sad to think that even after Dean and Sam slow down, everything isn't perfect for them, but it's definitely realistic. I love the future you painted. It just seemed so them.

And of course Dean would think that something was wrong if Cas came back, because good things just don't happen to Dean Winchester.

But at least now they have each other, which gives me a warm fuzzy :)

Beautifully written, and exactly what I was after.

It couldn't possibly be, much as we'd all love them to have something simple and happy. Life isn't simple, no matter how you shake it and the Winchesters have always had it kind of rough. Thank you!

Of course he would! Dean's suspicious by nature, and has thought Castiel dead for twelve years.

Warm fuzzies are the best fuzzies. I can see a sort of happily ever after, but a real one with trials and tribulations. I wish I'd had more time to flesh it out.

Thank you, bb. It felt...them. Especially Cas. I tried to make Dean changed but not because twelve years is a long time for a human. This Castiel would never assume, and would know enough about Dean to know that choices are what he's never been offered - so it's a gift to Dean as much as it's fear. *pinches his cheeks*
