Back to my chronology of episode after getting derailed by Future!Cas last week...we are now onto 4x22 which is up there with my favourite Dean/Cas episodes ever and remains my favourite finale to date. This episode is almost impossible to cap because I love every scene that Dean and Castiel are in together, they are so rich and full of such emotion and I so, so love how Castiel crumbles when Dean begs him to listen. I love how Dean moves into Cas' personal space as well as the other way around, I love how Cas tries to argue the words of his brothers but his doubts and his belief in Dean are what ultimately sway him.
And I love, so love, how Dean tilts his head in to catch Castiel's eyes and draws him up to look at him. I love how he drags Cas back around to look at him and I love everything they both say in this whole scene. It's fantastic.
