Opening Up Is Hard 2 Do
This year I plan to post and comment more. I don’t intend to flood my journal with meaningless post, but I do plan to post at least 3 times a week. I will leave comments I find that I read post and keep moving. From hence forward if I read it I will comment.
I have friended numerous people for one reason or another and done little to get to know them. That has to change and I should know things about my flist, not your deepest darkest secrets but what drew me to your journal to want to friend you. I have looked at my flist and wondered why did I add this person or that person, when I should see a screen name and know she or he likes this that I like or that person writes amazing fic, even I meet them a Wincon.
I am a standoffish shy type and always say I am going to work on it. Although, how can I over come it in real life if I do the same thing online with people I don’t see face to face.
So if I start randomly popping up in your comments chances are I am not a new friend, I have always been there, now I am just making me presence known.
Also my life is somewhat on a down right now and I have been making post about it and you guys have been great. The support you have shown has really brightened my outlook on putting myself out there. Overcoming being shy is a hard task to battle especially when you top it with bouts of low self esteem but you guys have help me see that opening up can make you feel better.
