The longarm is here and I've been playing most of the weekend. It was really nice to go into the studio after lunch yesterday and just quilt for a few minutes. Her name is not quite final but I have my suspicions...

On another really neat note, I had a brainstorm this morning. Have any of you ever heard of Quilters Grid or Quilt-Fuse? It's a lightweight fusible that is marked with a grid. Very commonly used for watercolor quilts. It occurred to me that it can be used for Duck and Ducklings (needs a better name people -- chop chop!) First, we sew the paper-pieced corners, then we fuse the whole thing together (well, it's sections, actually, b/c the stuff only comes 45" wide) and anyone can sew a straight line up the fold without having to worry about the machines' quarter inches.
