That was awesome. But way too short! LOL Sorry, I'm greedy that way. Poor Alex and Dean - they're both so messed up they can only turn to each other. But of course they've built up so many walls they make things as difficult as possible. Loved the end of the chapter. Please don't make us wait too terribly long for another update. I was on pins and needles waiting for this one. I have to say it again, I'm loving Dean and Alex...

Sorry about the long delay. I hope it won't happen again. I got sick, and then we found a beta, so now it'll be even better.

You're right about the two of them being messed up, poor boys. We love the whole dysfunctional universe that they inhabit.

Uhhh. AT first I thought that this was the end to the story. But then I know you are not so cruel to leave it this way! Honestly, I did not expect Alex to be whisked away and the story to pick up years later. So, this was a good twist! I will be looking forward where you are taking it!

No! We wouldn't leave them hanging, and this is about the halfway point in the saga.

Glad you still like it. We've got an added dynamic now, with Sam in the mix.

and BTW if the smart quotes were a pain with this - then let me know cos I have a way of getting rid of them which is relatively painless.

Hell, no, we both thank you for doing it. :) It's tons better now.

And the damned smart quotes... see, when I posted the story (and cross-posted it too, cos I am evil and an attention seeker!) I forgot to change the smart quotes when I took the document out of Word and put it into LJ... and then the damned link didn't work, so I had to fix it all over the place, and I am sure that many folks didn't read because of that...

So, mea culpa, but grrr!
