Yeah, you're right. I forgot about that. Still, it's a rare thing. Bobby is definitely awesome for pulling it off.

Trufax. I love Papa Winchester dearly, but Bobby has always seemed to be more of a positive father figure than John was. :D He supports and forgives the boys for pretty much ANYTHING.

Me either. Sometimes I see how damaged Dean is over everything John's done over the years and I get so mad, but John--despite his mistakes--truly cared and sacrificed a lot for his sons. So it's impossible not to love him for it. I like how Bobby kind of stepped into the father role after John, though. The fact that they have someone to turn to makes me happy, since they have so few people to depend on anyway.
