I know a simple girl,
Well simple on the surface,
On her shoulders sit the world.
She has yet to find her purpose
She chooses paths less traveled by
and sometimes she makes wrong turns
When companions ask her why,
She says "From mistakes you can learn"
She loves and lives in the present,
She tries to forget her past,
Such painful memories:unpleasant
She hopes the hurt won't last
She wants to experience all she can
the joys, sorrows, highs and lows,
Changing the world is her longterm plan
She leaves her mark everywhere she goes
Her greatest fear is being ordinary
or being your average troubled youth
She dreams of doing something extraordinary
She dreams of beauty, freedom and truth
Really her feelings are quite complicated
much too complex for her to deal
With her dreams she is infatuated
and on day she'll make them real.
