Russian bloggers accuse authorities of cyberwar / State Blamed in LiveJournal Attack

Hmmm. *readies tinhat*

How is it you keep going down EXACTLY when I'm trying to post or comment anyway, LJ?

Oh, same. Poor neglected JC. (Whoops, which reminds me that I owe replies. That's probably why I've been avoiding it... :p)

The Christmas Invasion is lots of fun and Ten is absolutely adorable. (I love the next part of the Arthur Dent line too, something about "Met him, nice chap." :p) I shall look forward to your epic thoughts! (Ah, Mickey! I'd forgotten what he's like in the first series. He is handled a bit better in s02, if it's any consolation?) And I think the Doctor has a bit of a thing for redheads, given that two of his four main companions in the new series are ginger. *g*

Hee, fair enough. (Oh, Empty Child. ~ARE YOU MY MUMMY?~ Moffat is good at bringing the creepy.)

LOL, Mythbusters. Something must be blown up first, though, else how will we know for sure!! (Mythbusters seems the kind of show that demands double exclamation points.) LJ seems to be cooperating for me, this hour at least. :p

OH, AND! I GOT A PARCEL TODAY, AND IT WAS FULL OF WONDERS. *glomps you forever* Erin and I have been checking out the jelly beans, and OMG so many flavours! It's like Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory here. :D

Ah, your icon reminds me: I have also watched the first episode of Sherlock! It was fantastic! ("I'm not a psychopath. I'm a highly functioning sociopath. Do your research." :D ) What an absolutely perfect modern day reinterpretation, and the casting is a thing of beauty. It also makes me happy that the actor who plays Sherlock has such an amazingly unwieldy name himself. Seriously, was it his excellent acting skills or the name of Benedict Cumberbatch that got him this role? Because I'd have hired him for either. It's probably too much to hope for that he has a similarly named brother, isn't it?

Ten is so totally adorable. :D (I know! I may or may not have squeed over the thought of the Doctor meeting Arthur. :P ) I shall do my best to compile thoughts of epicness asap. :D (I sincerely hope that Mickey is handled better. My God, same old comments in exactly the same tone with exactly the same bitter hangdog expression. EVERY TIME.) The Doctor has excellent taste. Red hair is awesome. I could perhaps be biased, though. :P

She actually gasped when Amy did the "Why did you say five minutes?" reveal, so I expect some good reactions to the Weeping Angels. :D (It was such fantastically effective creepiness. Were I to meet Moffat, I would likely be an embarrassing fangirl. :P )

Hmm. Blowing up a server seems counterintuitive. Is it possible to blow up a meme? Perhaps if we capslocked enough? (Mythbusters really does need double exclamation points!! It helps convey the energy of the explosives. And of Adam. :P )

Hooray! :D :D That was quick shipping! I am pleased, USPS, pleased indeed. *strokes chin solemnly*

*glomps in return* Was I right that you don't have Jelly Bellies in Australia, then? I love them a lot, and the flavors are amazingly true to life. Did the bag have recipes for mixing flavors on it? I can't remember. If not, here are some from the official website, but there are so many more possibilities. Basically, if any of them sound like a good potential mix, it's worth trying. Ooh, and here are more recipes from a Google search. I miss the old peanut butter and grape flavors not because they were so great on their own, but because they made an awesome PB&J. :P

Hey, Australian Jelly Belly recipes: coconut+chocolate pudding+toasted marshmallow = lamington! How would you do pavlova? Strawberry jam+blueberry+kiwi+french vanilla+toasted marshmallow? Doggone it, I think I need to go buy another bag for myself. :P

Seize the day! LJ is allowing the page to load! *Celebration*

You watched Sherlock! Ha, I know. It's such a wonderfully British name. *g* I love what they've done with the canon. Have you watched any more of the series? The second one has a couple of issues but the third is pretty amazing. Trying not to oversell so that it ruins it, here. :p

I think they would totally bond over a cup of tea. (Arthur would be overjoyed to find someone else who can tolerate it, LOL.) (Now I'm trying to remember how consistent the better handling of Mickey is. Um. He's not quite so much of an unfunny comedic sidekick, at least? I think? *needs to try re-watching in order sometime*) Ha! Of course the Doctor has good taste. He knows what he's doing. :p And I'm sure he'll get to be ginger eventually!

Hm, should be interesting. :p Reminds me of the first time we were watching Blink (at night, perhaps unwisely, in hindsight) and Erin and I both nearly jumped through the roof. Moffat is far too good at the creepy. :p

Your theories are sound. I concur! :p I can generally only handle about half an episode of Mythbusters at a time - so. much. enthusiasm. :p

If they are, I haven't come across them! Just the plain ones where you can't tell what flavour they're supposed to be, so these are very awesome. :D Ooh, recipes, brilliant! Mm, I approve of your lamington and pavlova innovations.

Poor emo LJ. It's indecisive. :P

I have seen the first two episodes thus far, but now I may watch the third before whichever Doctor Who episode was next in my queue. And I'm really not sure that it's possible to oversell this series. It would have to nosedive really drastically to truly spoil itself.

Ten and Arthur bonding over tea would make one heck of a fanfic. How susceptible to dares are you, my dear? O:-) Whichever redheaded actor who eventually gets to be the Doctor's first ginger incarnation will have a lot to live up to. :P

I watched Blink at night, too. And then I did the same with The Empty Child. Because apparently I don't learn. :P

It's like they pump the whole cast up with adrenaline before each and every episode. Except our dear Jamie, who's only marginally more energetic than a coma patient. And thank heaven for that, because the show would be intolerable without a straight man, regardless of the number of explosions. I'm very fond of Jamie and his ability to go whole episodes without cracking a smile while everyone else is whooping and jumping around. :P

I've never cared for plain jelly beans much. Jelly Bellies are much better. I don't know how they get the flavors so accurate, though. It might be magic. :O
