Review of Boot camp (Fitness by Design)

Aug 12, 2009 08:17

Since I've joined boot camp in April, I've noticed even though my weight still stays the same, my muscles/fat haven't stayed the same (they changed- as a result I have less BMI which is great).

I couldn't do burpees with push-ups when I joined. Now I can do about 10 of burpees with the modified push ups in like 40 seconds (maybe more when I'm not exhausted doing other exercises).

As for bench press- I couldn't even lift 25 dumbbells in both hands in the beginning either. Now I can- actually I am working my way up to 30 dumbbells for the bench press. Power wheel was so hard in the beginning when I started but now I'm able to do a better stability hold on the power wheel- hopefully that means soon I'll be ready to try doing roll outs. I have had a few people notice that my arms seem bulkier/stronger.

Even though I've been involved with this for 5 months already, I still come home and find sore muscles the next day. I definitely feel really good about myself overall. I guess now the other thing left to do is eat more veggies and fruits, and limit my meat intake so that I can watch the weight melt off more. But cheers, I've done really good this summer maintaining my weight for the most part- there were few weeks where I've gained like 2 to 5 lbs at most being on vacation or gone to camp but I've taken off all that pretty quickly once I got home and started watching my food intake.
