Creativity

I have had a long difficult relationship with creativity in my short 25 years. First the difficulty comes in the question "What is creativity?" I feel it is the act of creating something, anything. I also feel that it has to do, in large part, with imagination.
At first I imagined many things that I wanted to put down on paper (I love the sight of a clean sheet of paper or canvas) but didn't think that I had the ability. One day I discovered that I had the ability to draw and that opened up a new world for me. I know I can draw and paint a little but I struggle with perfection. I want everything I do to be perfect. If I don't think it will be, then I will not attempt it. I know that I am missing out on experience so this is something I want to overcome. Also, I have been somewhat of a realistic artist - I want what I paint or draw to look exactly what I see. I am getting away from that though and I want to just enjoy the process of painting or drawing. I also want to learn to use my sewing machine to put some unique and different touches to my home which is being renovated. So much to do, so little time...
