Supernatural - "Weekend at Bobby's"
Okay. This week's ep had some amazing things.
This is more recap than reaction 'cause I'm at a friend's house and she has the news on and I'm not good at focusing.
This is completely new! We barely got any Sam and Dean, but we got some amazing Bobby stories! I LOVE YOU BOBBY. THIS WAS AWESOME. Okay. Okay. So.
Jensen, you did an amazing job. The episode was v. good.
So Crowley was SHOCKINGLY an asshat who did not return Bobby's soul. SURPRISE. And Bobby is taken advantage of constantly by people who want his help when he's busy burning the bones of a demon.
Bobby has no game, but he still gets all the ladies. Until he breaks into their houses with a shotgun and woodchippers a chick. Then they don't want him anymore. Everything goes wrong for Bobby, but he has an awesome soundtrack.
Dean calls to ask for help (several times) and is a total douche and a jackass. Bobby takes the daddy role and scolds the shit out of them and lays on the guilt, and it is amazing and I love it.
Crowley is King of Hell, but he used to be Scottish tailor with a bad relationship with his son who sold his soul for a bigger penis. Also Fergus McCloud? Srsly?
We get Rufus, because he's awesome. He helps Bobby LIKE A BAMF. But he also fails to kill the okami properly, and he also leads the cops/FBI to Bobby, 'cause he's a fail.
We gets some worrying information about the monsters. Why are they suddenly immigrating to America?
Sam and Dean aren't in America for once! That's the first time we've been out of the country! I was wondering if they'd ever been out of it!
This episode was mostly amazingly snappy lines and snark, so I'm going to spend some time on that.
1. “Bite me.”
“If that's what your thing.”
2. “You are the whiniest, most self-absorbed sons 'a bitches.”
3. Demons are “evil, lying prats.”
4. “Do I look like Dr. Phil to you?”
“A little.”
5. Crowley mocking Bobby was kind of hilarious, I'll admit. “I want my soul back, idjit!”
6. Demons are “Nothing but ghosts with an ego.”
