suddenly, after a good year and some time of making fun of the masses obsessed with friendster, the bug has caught me. it all started with dustin saying "it's totally a great way to pass the time when you're at work with a computer", and suddenly, i'm addicted. it's horrible. and entertaining. and all of the above.
i had all sorts of strange and uneven dreams last night. hopefully i (and ian) can sleep better tonight. it's bad when both people are tossing and turning all night. yesterday i kayaked for what felt like forever (in a good way) before heading back to the fam's house. saturday night i went out with the parents and some of their friends to jazz alley to see bill frisell. two things of note happened: i drank alcohol around my parents for the first time and i managed to say "fuck it" to my mom, no doubt partially caused by my loosening up brought on by the alcohol. bill frisell, while i'm a fan, he was kind of boring live. jazz alley and its crowd just depressed me. it was so over-the-top boursoie(i can never spell that right), i felt i'd die a very slow and painful death just being in there.
based on people's recommendations, i'm now downloading episodes of "aqua teen hunger force" and "the office".
mental note: ophelia and the great idea play their last show wednesday night. it'd be good to go see them.
