Well, at least for this post, then it's back to work with me.
I'm going to be fairly MIA for the next week or so working on my two, big final papers for the semester. Feel free to wish me luck!
I did have the most random person sighting this weekend. I was at a Perkins by the airport just minding my own business and having a good breakfast on a Saturday morning. As I was walking out of the restaurant, I look at this older guy in a suit just sitting eating breakfast. After a moment of processing, I realize that it's
Sen. Herb Kohl. I didn't want to bother him, plus I was just so shocked to see him chilling at the Perkins by the airport. I don't think that others in the restaurant even knew who he was, even though he's been on TV tons via commercials since he's up for reelection this year. I don't know if that makes me sad that people are that politically inept or if that I'm just that much of a political junkie. I'm leaning on the latter.
Also, on an additional political note, I'm watching "Countdown with Kieth Olberman" and this commentator said something about
Rep. Rahm Emanuel being the leader of the Republican Congressional Committee. Um, yeah. . .that's just wrong. He's definately a Democrat, and definately in charge of the DCCC. Thanks for playing though.
This week's West Wing was pretty good. I'm very glad the person that got voted off AI did, since it was about damn time.
Anywho, enough procrastinating. . must get back to the papers.
Ciao :)
