RevoltPuppy. What a lively weekend full of no sleep.
The highlight, I would have to say, share's time with the lowlight. On Friday, we lost our new kitten-friend, right after Jen paid for vet inspection and shots. We searched all evening and could not turn her up. So we set some food things out, along with the towel she was sleeping in, and checked back periodically for the next 12 hours. You never know how many stray cats hang around until you put out food and make regular checks. I think there were three or four cats sitting out there at various times.
Finally, we hit the jackpot! Little Baberaham Lincoln was sitting out there! I snuck out, and she went right back under the porch. But this time, we weren't letting her leave the premises. Through various tactics, we managed to lure her ever closer, until finally I just crawled under the porch and grabbed her (an ordeal in itself, I assure you, but I won't bore you with the strategy). It was an epic struggle, but Jen's vet money did not go to waste, and Baberaham is back, safe, and presumably happy.
After that, Jen, Alex and I went to Lawrence, KS to see the Polyphonic Spree. I got to visit with my old college buds, Justin and Jess, and Jen got to tour the Lawrence campus. The Spree was epic, with an awesome, full sound. The opening bands sucked, The Redwalls and Rooney, and I bought my first cell phone game to play during their sets.
That's it in a nutshell.
