Your Hand in Mine

I fucking love Explosions in the Sky. ♥

Anyway, I really need to finish that CTA that's due in...oh, 5 hours and 56 minutes. Stupid turnitin.com >: But on the bright side, I got my Lit  teacher to lend me:

Ta da! I'm so excited to read it. I couldn't find it at my public library. Or at least, not the last time I checked five months *cough* days ago. But then I promptly forgot about it until I was waiting for him at brunch time in his classroom and I was bored so I inspected and snooped around his bookcase. He has good taste in books. Also, he really likes Catch-22; the spine is all out of whack.

Me: Mr. C, can I borrow this book?
Mr. C: Yes.
Me: YEEEEEEEEEEEES.
*fist punch*
Mr. C: Glad you're happy. Now, about the guy who cheated in the Socratic Seminar...

By the way, you should check out the website (click the cover). Stoves!

Oh, beavers are cute. But not those beavers. Or Justin Beavers. But to avoid innuendo inducage (inducage is a word I made up, so go away, red squiggly), I shall say groundhogs. Groundhogs are cute. 8D

I went to library volunteering today and we made V-day crafts with the little kids! Well, I spent half the time making the crafts (because they were so fun), and then went around collecting trash and the manila envelopes with the stuff in it from the kids. They're so cute. And then Ki. came and Sn. came and we all rushed around, collecting trash.

Being busy without having to deal with the consequences is kind of nice. I mean, not busy as in 'being busy while doing a CTA for a grade'. But being busy, running around, crouching, explaining shit, working with kids, having fun, playing with stickers and jellyfish floats...that's fun.

I mean, the librarians there are so nice! I love all of them. They're all so eccentric and neat and fun to be around in their own way. ♥ All of them. I swear, it must be a profession thing. I've never met a bitchy librarian...yet.

Of course, librarians are people and public service work? Sucks ass.
But they're so nice, it's just..kdfansflknsd. They really really deserve more than what they're paid and what they're given. They need more acknowledgment. They work so hard to make events and make the library a great place. And the parents that bring the kids? They're always kind of pushy, but really, they're just plain sweet too.

And this is why I love the Children's section of the library much more than the teen's, too. The kids are so awesome. They're so cute and  fluffy. I love them. And the teens (I know I'm a teen, but working there makes me feel kind of...eh. The atmosphere's just...eh. I hate teenagers) are so boring. I love YA books, or at least, 5% of them (that are worth digging through the other crappy 95% to read), but I hate the teens. Period. I don't know how to explain it. They're just so uncooperative and so...unopen and cliquey. That's the way with kids, too, I think, but it's less apparent and less...developed, I suppose?

Either stop acting holier-than-thou, shy-awkward-shy, or emo little angst, and Christ, and get over your stupid shit.

Anyway, we made ladybug crafts! And jellyfish heart thingies. Ki.'s was really pretty. She said she colored everything with color crayon, then covered that with another layer of black crayon, then scratched the black off with a sharp thingy to make it look like scratch art. It was amazing. I did a double rainbow thingy.

So happy. And then I went inside and saw a beaver fort! Apparently one of the librarians grabbed a big gigantic box, cut a hole at the top, and then a square at the back so the kids could climb through and pop their heads out of for Groundhog day (hence, why I suddenly think groundhogs are cute). She gave me the hat thingy that she made. ♥

Then I planned on ordering shirts? Probably a iron-on: note to self.

Anyway, so ends my day.

How enjoyable! Derp derp.

Zzzz. Must finish proofing Chap. 6 of Datte by Thurs.
And another section of SAT questions by then too! DX Also, stop pulling all-nighters!!!
