Vergil sat in the corner of his cell, on top of the mattress, his head against the cold wall. His eyes were closed, his arms crossed over his chest. This situation was something new to him. He had no minded the entire thing when it was just him in the wild, fighting off the zombies, he was use to worse.

The fact that Yamato had not been with him when he entered this new world, or that now he was locked up, well that made the situation completely different.

He scratched at the back of his hand idly for a moment. The bandage that had covered whatever had happened to him was on the floor. He knew his powers were gone for the time being, he had tried to use his summon swords several times to try and break out but nothing seemed to work.

The gears in his mind still continued to turn and plot what his next move would be. Now if only he could get that child to be quiet.

No, it wasn't just the shouting, but now Hope was banging around on the walls, determined to find maybe a weak spot. It wasn't likely, but it was better than just doing nothing.

Atleast he wasn't wasting his energy on the pointless efforts of banging his way out.

"Perhaps if you ask nicely they will let you out." His word dripping with sarcasm. His eyes finally opened and moved toward the vent shaft above his head. He could see the glare of the camera on him. How dare these humans even think about keeping him here.

He would find a way out.

Wait, was that a person?

He's glancing up at the ceiling now, eying the vents curiously.

"Is someone there?" He's a bit quieter this time, uncertain about who could be talking to him.

The question earned the boy a loud sigh. Why was it that people always asked the most obvious questions. Of course if there was a voice there must be something there that it belongs too.

"I'm a few cells down." He answered the boy, rolling his eyes as he did.

Cells? Was everyone in cells here? He felt a little stupid about asking, but... it was better than not asking, right?

"Do- do you know what happened? I just woke up here, and..." He shook his head. "I don't know what's going on! I just... I just woke up in Malta a few days ago, and now we're locked up and--"

"No idea." He shifted in his place for a moment, but other then that didn't move much. "It seemed we are both in the same situation then."

This boy wouldn't be useful to him in getting the answers he needed. To bad the guards weren't as talkative as the boy was, not that he would ask them anything anyways.

Same situation? Was... had everyone just been dropped into the island and now locked up? He wondered briefly if Gokudera was okay, and that doctor who sprained his wrist. At least they hadn't been locked up with Infected or anything, but...

He continued his search around the room, growing more frustrated as he couldn't find anything of use, not even his old clothes. Eventually, he just glared up at the camera.

"Why are you even watching us if we can't do anything!"

With a huff, he sat down on the bed, crossing his arms in an attempt to hide his brand. He winced a bit and rubbed the back of his neck, hesitating as he came across what felt like a puncture.

The boy did rise a good question, he wasn't completely stupid then. There was no real point in watching them if they couldn't do anything. Even the prisons in the human world didn't have cameras set on every inmate at all times.

It seemed just...pointless. Not to mention a waste of energy.

He was quiet as the thought about this, if they were watching everyone, then something might be wrong with the cells. A sort of weakest. They might be watching to make sure they don't find that weakest.

"They must want to keep it that way."

He paused a moment. "What? Keep it so that we can't do anything?"

Did that mean they could do something to break out? He eyed the camera with a renewed thought, and wondered if they were listening in as well. They probably were. It just meant that the people here wouldn't be able to collaborate with each other.

But... it meant that there must be a way out... they would just have to keep looking for it. And not let on if they did manage to find it.

"Seems like it." Vergil's eyes reverted back to the camera. If there was away to get rid of that thing he would. Before he could make any move though he would need to test and see just how closely they were watching these cameras.

"If you can, try and find something you can use to get out."

If the boy did find something, and the guards stopped him, atleast then Vergil would know just how far he could push it with these people. He started to look himself. The spring in his mattress might work for something. As a last resort he can always try to claw at the tiles with his nails.

"Sure." Hope was a bit distracted, though, trying to figure out if there was any way of climbing up to the ceiling so he could disable the camera.

Or would that draw too much attention to him? Either way, he didn't like being watched at all, especially in the state of dress he was in. He wondered if they would think he escaped if he hid under the bed, and if they would send people to check, and open his door...

He shook his head from those thoughts, though. He didn't have enough information about the situation to do anything yet. He'd have to wait and see.

Vergil stared up at the camera. He wondered if it had any blind spots perhaps. Seeing as it was inside of the vent, the bars and the siding could obscure that view. He finally stood to his feet, not really caring about the whole no clothes thing. He walking over to the door and touching the metal flap.

He could use this if he was able to rip it off somehow. And the drain near the sink was could be used as a weak point as well, but it would be difficult to dig his way through into the sewage.

"It seems they have thought this out rather well."

"That doesn't really sound like a point in our favor."

By this point, he just had his elbows on his knees and his chin in his hands, trying to figure out what was going on. Luckily, the lingering panic was starting to wear off know that he knew he wasn't alone here.

There wasn't much he was able to do here... with his magic acting as crazy as it had been since he arrived to Malta, and now not responding to him at all, he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do. If they had captured him because he was a l'Cie, they really weren't going to get anything from him.

He didn't have his boomerang, he didn't even have his pouch, and he didn't have his magic. He felt a little clueless as to how he was supposed to conduct his grand escape.
