Music has lost a Legend

Yesterday was a sad day for me. I lost my all time favorite performer, and someone I admired.
Admired for his musical creativity, and his imagination.
I guess I have connection with imagineers, Jim Henson, Walt Disney, Michael Jackson.
I'm sure there are a few others, but it's a pretty short list.
A lot of childhood memories growing up was spent watching, listening, and dancing to Michael Jackson.

His presence in this life will be deeply missed, but his musical influence will remain for a very long time.

It's hard to imagine any artist coming close to MJ's success. As of yet, there is no other artist who put on a better show.

Michael Jackson was the only artist to have five number one hits from one LP

Jackson signed a new record-breaking US$890 million contract by Sony. It is still the largest recording contract of all time.

He supported more charities than any other pop singer

Has more music awards than any other artist in the history of music.

Also the fastest ticket sales in history, with 700,000 tickets sold in about four hours for the canceled "This Is It" tour in 2009.

On November 14, 1991, Michael Jackson’s music video, Black or White was broadcast simultaneously in 27 countries with an estimated audience of 500 million people. It is the largest audience ever to view a music video.

On a side note...I would be scared to title myself "king" of anything. Seems as though most people who do, die young.
