Stories

We're moving. We're really going to do it. So we're throwing a lot of stuff away. That also means that we're throwing a lot of time into the garbage, in the sense that the stuff have memories that go along with them, stories that go with them, and that's what it's all about the stories, the "I knew this guy...", "I remember when...", "I wore this the night...", those times.

The problem lies in throwing away too much, the items remind us that our lives have not been wasted, they give us memories to share with others, insight, humor in a dire situation, everything. The fact of the matter is that we can't keep everything we've touched, or owned, and we can't have every memory. The sad part is when those items were from friends, or lovers, or even just co-workers who made the difference between a shit job for "no pay", and a shit job with nothing in it for you at all, because its like turning your back on those people, forgetting to remember as often, not telling their stories.
