We KILLED Deltona!
Yesterday was F-U-N! And long. And busy!
First, I got up at 5:40 because I had to be at school at 6:30. Then we drove all the way out to Bellevile, which is near Ocala, for Area OH Demos. Rochelle and I did good. We were in the marketing category. We did our demo, then waited until everyone else from Pine Ridge did theirs. Then we were tired of waiting around, so we went to Sonny’s for lunch.
After lunch, they did the awards. Rochelle and I got second, which still moves on to state, but we thought we were docked points for stupid things. For example, I said ‘word of mouth’ instead of ‘word by mouth’ when I answered a question. Stupid, right?
So anyway, we made it back home in less than an hour and a half. Then I went straight back to school to get ready for the game.
It was senior night/day, so I read all the papers about all the seniors. It was nice… I’ll miss most of them. One I can live without, but whatever… they’ll get over it.
I sat the whole game. Yeah, it sucked, but it was still fun. Coach told everyone that she had never heard the bench so excited and loud. That’s how it needs to be the next time we play Deltona!
At the end of the first inning, it was tied 0-0, and we thought that the whole game was going to go like that. But then in the second or third, Kasey hit an awesome hit, and then everyone started hitting.
Deltona walked out onto the field with the attitude like ‘We’re gonna kill them!’ They obviously underestimated us, because we killed them 8-0. It was probably our best game this season. And it was nice, because Jessica got the last two outs of the game, and it was senior night.
After the game, I went to the boys’ games. JV won 8-4. After that game, I drove to Wendy’s for something to eat. Varsity started at 7:30. I went home in the top of the fourth, because I was really tired, so I don’t know if they won.
I’m gonna go look for a write up in the paper…
