brutal ugliness

while waiting for the F train at the Roosevelt Avenue station I decided to sit on the waiting seats. Out of the corner of my eye I saw that the guy sitting behind me horzontally was smoking something...I watched him carefully bring this glass tube to his lips, light it, have the tube fill with thick white smoke then put the tube back in his pocket and repeat this a few times. Now, this smoke didn't smell like marijuna or even tobacco...it smelt like burning rubber. So my guess is that it was crack...I felt awful after seeing this. I kept thinking and thinking about it till my brain hurt and I wanted to cry but just stared into nothingness the train ride home. I felt so...dreadful, I can't even explain why...this had to be one of the three most awful things I've witnessed in New York.

the two others :

I saw a man that had just been stabbed on the subway once when I was about seven years old. He was walking through each train car asking for a hankerchief. I remember being horrified and clutching onto my aunt not letting my feet touch ground that had trickels of blood....how i wasn't fully traumatized by this to be afraid of trains forever is pretty interesting i think.

The other thing happened this past January when I saw a girl at a club being literally thrown out of the club onto the sidewalk by one of the bouncers of the club. His reason for throwing her out the door "she was hitting one of my other bouncers" like a 5'7" string bean girl could do any harm to a huge bouncer. please.

Um...these are the most horrible things I've seen with my own eyes...these are the things that make me question if I want to live in NY for the rest of my life...I don't really know. Maybe the things affect me so much that I remember them and rate them as the most horrible things I've ever seen in NY because I'm overly emtional...i don't know..i'm just rambling...

Lighter subject...i watched annie hall this afternoon for the first time, it was really good. and bryan text me wishing me a happy easter from london. isn't that nice?
