You Just Can't Argue With Interpretation
This week late at night I've been having a round about argument about someone's allegorical interpretation of Silent Hill. She says the movie presents an inverted trinity that represents the Holy Trinity.
The odd thing is I grant that it's a fair reading but I don't agree where they line up. The funny thing is that she [claimed] will not look at any evidence that the roles may be changed because her theory is proven. It's proven because all of the film's evidence she interprets in light of the theory. We could have had this in Law Science and Tech or Cult Law class as a case study.
So I researched our little exercise in circular logic and found there are a bunch of fan websites and she posts on all of them. So not only have I never played the video games, I'm arguing with a true Silent Hill fanatic who posts her long reply in less than an hour.
I'm ready to surrender, if there was a jury they've noddded off ala OJ Trial by now.
