Sunday. Too Fast Not furious Enough
I am really not happy about where this is headed. Nowhere sounds like a dull place.
I got my intro to Solar Radiation Management section written. For Carbon Capture I did both introduction and potential side effets. However I found a huge paper on Carbon Storage problems. I have to guess at the SRM since I can't find much material. Yeah, I know there is a wikipedia.
Seriously do we really need to convince people there are drawbacks to blocking out the sun? Yesterday's FB status message pointed out we could counter double the amount of climate change by a volcano erupting every two years. Yes, someone wrote a 4 page paper in Science calculating the amount of eruptions it would take.
Hey they are computer models. You've gotta use them for something.
Passed the gunner and her liberals studying for next Monday's Civil Rights. that's one subject where I could actually beat them because it's so rule dependent and I know the Prof's mind. Unfortunately I am stuck on papers and will only give cursory glances at my exam material.
Must get head out of clouds, and get cloud-whitening in the rear view mirror in my paper.
Osama bin Laden reported dead. 8:40pm PDT.
Wow. Gothboy in Toledo once told me that Bin Laden would never see the inside of a courtroom. He was smarter than me on that. It would be madness to have his followers know he was being held. Tempted to repeat John Wayne's version of due process.
11:15pm. My my the good news keeps on pouring in. Details at 1am.
I am feeling so flubby. It's a word. I haven't run since monday and spend the entire day in a chair. This sounds suspiciously like a job. If I could wear shorts and bike to work.
11:30pm. In a typical DMW paper, the background info swallows the entire paper. I've spent so much time explaining what geoengineering is that I am lacking time and energy to argue why it should or should not be regulated.
Actually the thesis is sort of chosen for me. He is Canadian and big fan of government regulation and international oversight. So it would look really awkward if he told me to investigate whether there were any laws agaist geoengineering [there are none] and if we needed laws, and then I concluded:
Carbon Capture today, Solar Radiation tomorrow, Geoengineering FOREVER!
