My typist and I just learned that I'll be played by Ethan Hawke in the American production of my life by Tom Stoppard. I was happy enough with Douglas Henshall (who made a good Russian on more than one occasion), but Ethan Hawke will certainly bring my image to a younger generation.
Can't figure out why my typist is so unhappy. He's too pretty, she says. Well, if we're honest, Henshall is better looking than I was at his age - damned Russian prisons.
(Vissarion, wish you were here. Will Keen was frighteningly accurate in his appearance, almost you come to life, but now you get to be played by Billy Crudup. I know you're not vain in the least, but damn, I'd hit that.)
Anyone else profoundly pleased by how hot the actors playing them have become? Eleanor, surely you're happy they chose Cynthia Nixon for the last film to feature you. Axel, your opinion on Mr Smouldering Brow Sophia Coppola has as you? (he's better looking than you are, I have to say.)
