I think I haven't been writing in this journal lately because I really have had nothing to say...
I could go down a laundry list of the day over and over again, but I don't really get much out of that. Right now my days are pretty standard and there isn't much to write about. Things are almost always busy in one way or another right now, especially lately. Some of it is good and some of it bad and there is the occasional extreme. But overall things are flowing in the right direction and I'm not letting anything slow me down more than necessary.
So these last few weeks there hasn't been anything that's really struck me. Nothing has happened that really made me want to write about it. I think that will change over time, but right now I'm getting back to some basics and focusing on specific things while also looking at the big picture (for once). That of course brings about a certain bit of the mundane and leaves very little for an interesting journal. Saying that, things are different for me now. I'm not just trudging along with my head down and that's a good thing. I'm much happier than I was before.
I fly out Florida to see my Kathleen and the rest of my family on Friday night. I should get a visit from virgo_moon after the new year as well, which is always a treat. I'm going to bring a little notebook with me to write down my thoughts, since I don't think I'll have access to a computer. I'm very much looking forward to getting out of here for a few weeks. It doesn't solve anything and I have to come back here afterwards, but it will be nice to have that time away.
