As I'm standing by your side 
I just know 
that nothing stays forever 
all the pieces I have tried 
to combine 
don't fit fine into each other 
regression is no option to prefer

we try to restore 
what we have lost 
but our will to rebuild 
is made of dust 
the scent of joy 
condemned to fade 
the visibility 
was nothing but a shade

Along this broken road we've walked 
together as one 
but now our way ist shattered

a wish for something better
