The number of dimensional disturbances on Earth is on the rise...the incidents in Tokyo and at the Saotome Labs both clearly involved dimensional transit of some sort, though I'd be lying if I said I'd ever seen anything like the former, or anything on the scale of the latter.  Combined with those demons from last month (was it that long ago?  I ( Read more... )

I've been noticing the same thing. And let's not forget what Lord Genome tried to pull. Just what the hell could all these people from different dimensions want with ours, anyway?

There certainly seems to be something of interest, when you account for them and all the aliens invading physically.

And then there was...

...Hold the phone. Do you think all these groups could be after humanity?

...that's an interesting theory. Humans, the species, exist elsewhere in the Universe, but humans born from Earth stock do seem to be particularly...something. Hayate and Nanoha are Earth natives, for example, and they're two of the most powerful mages in the entire Bureau despite not having had an upbringing in a magical society or, in Hayate's case, more than a year or so of training.

If nothing else, Earth's people have proven remarkably resilient to fighting a multiple-front, extended war. If our enemies weren't interested in humanity before attacking, they probably are now.

Well, the thing that made me think that was Lord Genome's final warning: "When the land overflows with ten billion apes, the moon will become Hell's messenger and completely destroy the world of the Spiral."

I still don't get it...but there's no doubt in my mind that the "ten billion apes" refers to humanity.

A threat? Some kind of failsafe revenge plot? But why base it on Earth's population?

Hell if I know. He'd have saved us all some major headaches if he'd just told Nia and me outright. He's probably having a great big laugh at us from hell.

I've worked for a large number of bad men in the past. They pretty much all do stuff like this when they're defeated.

Well, at least I'm not the only one who thinks it's cliched as all hell.
